Hi. I'm Karen. Thanks for stopping by today.
I have been a professional photographer for over 20 years. Currently based in Little Rock, Arkansas, I graduated in 1995 from the University of Southern Mississippi with a degree in journalism with a photojournalism emphasis. Soon after graduation, I moved to Arkansas and began working for the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette where I was a staff photographer until 2013. When I'm not shooting, you can probably find me in my garden, on my yoga mat or hiking something -- somewhere.
I love collaborating with my clients and getting to know them. I do whatever it takes to put my clients at ease by making photography fun, creative and enjoyable. I work closely with my clients to take their project from concept to completion. My photo projects have taken me across the street and around the globe. Working under pressure or in a fast-paced environment comes second nature to me.
While on staff with Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, I spent two month embedded in Iraq with Arkansas' 39th Infantry Brigade as part of their peace keeping efforts to help rebuild the war-torn country after the second Gulf War invasion. After being on assignment in Baghdad, there's little that I cannot handle.
Along with my husband, I own BackFocus Productions so when your next project needs commercial video production, we can help with that too.
Just a few of my clients - past and present - are: Google, Entergy Arkansas, Martin-Wilbourn Partners, The Design Group, Ogilvy, EXIT Marketing, Team ODEA, Big River Steel, Arkansas Business Publishing Group, Steele +, Cranford Johnson Robinson Woods, The Savory Pantry, Superior Bathhouse Brewery, Lindsey Binz Home Company, Lookout Point Lakeside Inn, Delta Dental of Arkansas, Arkansas Children's Hospital, e.Republic | Smart Media for Public Sector Innovation, Reuters, Bill and Hillary National Airport, Greenpeace, Associated Press, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The (UK) Independent, Magnet Media, Food Network, P.
