Architectural Exteriors | Coulson Oil | Arkansas Commercial Photographer

For the first half of this year, Coulson Oil was my lucky charm.

I worked with them very closely taking sunset architectural photos of a selected few gas stations around Arkansas to provide some of the artwork for their new corporate headquarters. You can read more on that project by going here.

After construction was completed, I was asked by Evo Business Environments to come out and photograph the interiors. You can see that project here.

The architect for Coulson Oil’s new corporate headquarters was Arkansas-based Fennell Purifoy Architects. Their design intent was to create a classic and modern office that looks forward to the company’s future with new technology and better workplace space planning to meet their needs.

The use of perforated metal sunscreens, clerestory day lighting of interior corridors, maximization of north and south exposures, aiong with the reduction of glass facing east and west are incorporated into the design.

Natural slate and exposed steel framing can be found throughout to provide a maintenance free exterior that will stand the test of time.

Four separate trips at sunrise and sunset were needed to achieve the various photo for Fennell Purifoy’s portfolio.

Arkansas-based Evo Business Environments is leading the way in redesigning the workplace.

Evo contacted me early in 2018 to photograph a series of their recent projects. I photographed Arkansas Automatic Sprinklers back in April. You can see that blog post here.  I was first introduced to the Evo's work when I photographed the Little Rock Tech Park in 2017. You can see that blog post here.

Earlier this summer, Evo asked me to photograph Cromwell Architects Engineers after they moved into their new home located in Little Rock's East Village. The building, built in 1947, was the home of Sterling Paint and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The building is an intact example of a post-war commercial and industrial building and is the only industrial building designed by Burks and Anderson, prominent Arkansas architects.

The president's office was hands down my favorite space with its warm tones accented with mid-century modern furnishings. During the renovation, they kept the wood panel walls. The rest of the space is just as impressive. The whole workspace is filled with natural light and open work spaces. Evo opted for a classic black and white palatte with pops of Cromwell brand orange.

Gone are the days of closed off, stuffy and BORING work places and work spaces. And Evo Business Environments is leading the way.

Evo contacted me early in 2018 to photograph one of their latest workspace projects: AR Automatic Sprinklers. The Cabot-based business provides fire protection and sprinkler systems for a variety of businesses. I was first introduced to the Evo's work when I photographed the Little Rock Tech Park last summer. You can see that blog post here.

As a professional photographer, I work and photograph in a wide variety of office settings and it can often be challenging to work in tight cramp and often really dark spaces with colors dating back to the '70s. It's very refreshing to see so many offices shifting towards open and modern concepts.

Below are some of my favorites from this photo shoot. I really love working with Evo Business Environments. You can see more on their portfolio page.
